SOUTH TEXAS – It is with regret that the publishers and editor of Construction News, South Texas edition, announce that this June 2016 issue will be the last one.

“When we started the South Texas edition of Construction News three-and-a-half years ago, we saw a need to help link companies and associations that were gearing up with the boom in the Eagle Ford Shale,” says Buddy Doebbler, publisher. “It has not been an easy or thoughtless decision to discontinue this publication. In the current climate, our advertising base has become vastly reduced in this area.”
Doebbler went on to say that he and his wife, Reesa, have made a great many friends in the construction industry in South Texas and they hope to maintain those friendships and connections.
Editor Cyndi Wright echoed the sentiments.
“I’ve made so many great friends in South Texas,” she said. “The number of people who have helped me in my job is too numerous to count.”
Everyone at Construction News expressed many thanks to the South Texas associations, all of the people who have become part of the family and all of those who have supported the publication.
