NAWIC’s Dallas chapter hosted five events March 6-11 to honor and raise awareness of women’s accomplishments in their field, recruit new members and, best of all, have fun! The week’s events kicked off Mar. 6, when NAWIC’s Dallas and Fort Worth chapters enjoyed a joint event at HILTI in Irving. The members and guests had an opportunity to scope out the company’s newest tools and promote NAWIC to others.
On March 7, the group boot-scooted down to Dallas’ Eddie Deen’s Ranch for the Hard Hat Construction Expo. More than 80 exhibitors set up booths in the rustic setting to promote their products and services.
The next day, the ladies enjoyed a presentation and jobsite tour of the Toyota Corporate Headquarters in Plano. Austin Commercial, which served as the project’s general contractor, hosted the outing for the members.
On Friday, the Dallas chapter assembled at PSA2 - Plano Sports Authority for a “sports flooring” demo and lunch,
The final day of WIC Week, Mar. 11, NAWIC’s Fort Worth and Dallas chapters joined again at Irving’s Home Depot for a Do-It-Yourself outdoor lighting workshop, followed by lunch at Irving’s On The Border Mexican Grill. –mjm
