AUSTIN – A ground breaking ceremony for the Central Texas Equipment 14,000sf facility took place at 1401 Central Commerce Circle Dec. 30.

“The larger facility will allow us to better serve our customers,” said Vice President Bob Henry, Central Texas Equipment.
“McComb Construction is the general contractor, the civil engineer is Chris McComb, PE, AMC Design Group, and the architect Steve Oliver, OPA Studios.  The project is slated for completion in July 2014.
“Central Texas Equipment will be celebrating our 10th year under the new ownership which includes Andy Tewell, Walter Kurowski and Chris Tewell and me in Oct. 2014.”
Henry says H.C. “Dulie” Bell and Joe Teague originally established the company in Austin, TX in 1946.
“In 1998, Central Texas Equipment was sold to Crescent Machinery and it operated under the Crescent name until 2004 at which time the four of us started the company back up under the flagship name of Central Texas Equipment.”
Andy Tewell was one of the original owners of the former Central Texas Equipment, he said.
“I have worked at the company for 18 years,” Henry said.  “Walter has been with the company for 16 years and Chris has been with the company for 10 years.  We currently employ 17 people.”
Central Texas Equipment are dealers for construction equipment lines and provides sales of new and used equipment and parts, service and warranty for all of them.  –ab
